Connect Cloudflare

Connect Cloudflare to use TenantCore Automatic DNS for domains whose DNS zones are managed by Cloudflare.

Before you begin

Make sure:
  • the domain’s authoritative DNS is hosted in Cloudflare
  • you have a Cloudflare credential with sufficient DNS permissions for the required zone
  • Automatic DNS is included in your TenantCore plan

Connect Cloudflare

  1. Open the DNS-provider connection area.
  2. Choose Cloudflare.
  3. Enter the credential TenantCore requests.
  4. Save the connection.
  5. Test the provider connection.
TenantCore stores the provider credential server-side. Use the least privilege needed for TenantCore to manage the intended DNS zone. Avoid giving a credential broader Cloudflare account access than necessary.

Start Automatic DNS

After Cloudflare is connected:
  1. add the domain to TenantCore
  2. open the domain
  3. choose Automatic DNS
  4. review the plan
  5. start provisioning
TenantCore resolves the TenantCore domain resource first and only then performs the provider operation.

If the zone cannot be found

Check:
  • the domain is using the Cloudflare account you connected
  • the credential can access that zone
  • the domain name in TenantCore matches the Cloudflare zone
  • the provider connection still tests successfully
Use manual DNS if you need to continue while provider access is being fixed.
