# Configure Send Limits

> Set mailbox sending limits and understand how TenantCore enforces them through Exchange Online.

# Configure Send Limits

TenantCore send limits help keep mailbox volume within the policy you define.

The standard TenantCore operating model is up to **25 sends per mailbox per day**.

## Open Send Limits

1. Open **Send Limits**.
2. Choose the tenant, domain, or mailbox scope supported by the current UI.
3. Set the intended daily mailbox limit.
4. Save the policy.

## Keep the sequencer limit aligned

If a mailbox is connected to a sending platform, configure that platform at or below the TenantCore limit.

For example:

Sending platform: 25/day or lower
```

Do not configure the sequencer to intentionally exceed the infrastructure policy.

## How TenantCore enforces usage

TenantCore measures Microsoft 365 sending activity, compares mailbox usage with the configured policy, and applies Microsoft-side enforcement when the limit is reached.

This means the infrastructure limit does not depend solely on the sending platform's own daily-limit setting.

## Send limits are not deliverability guarantees

A mailbox can send fewer than 25 messages and still produce poor reputation signals.

Monitor:

* hard bounces
* spam-related events
* DNS/authentication health
* reputation state

in addition to raw sending volume.
